In 2005, UCI initiated SURF-IT -- the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Information Technology -- to help students develop skills that will help propel them into graduate school or careers in telecommunications or information technology

This program is designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills that will propel them into graduate studies or careers in the various, multidisciplinary fields of telecommunications and information technology.
