DESCRIPTION/ABSTRACT: PRIME is an international research internship and cultural experience that prepares students for the global workplace in the 21st century. This is an opportunity for UCSD undergraduates to gain research experience abroad and contribute to the international scientific community. The information session will give interested undergrads the opportunity to meet PRIME alumni and find out how they can apply for this exciting summer internship. Hear from the program directors about the application process, and from UCSD faculty mentors about the opportunities, and from former PRIME students about the experience from their perspective. Under the PRIME program, students have two mentors - one researcher at UCSD, the other host mentor at the international internship site. Students accepted into the program will perform research at advanced institutions in Pacific Rim countries, including Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and more. Basic expenses for the summer abroad are provided by grant funds. For further information, visit the PRIME website at http://prime.ucsd.edu. MORE INFORMATION: |
