San Diego, CA, May 9. 2008 -- Student filmmakers demonstrated an eye for both art and sustainability during this year's Earth Week "VidFest," a competition sponsored by UC San Diego's Environment and Sustainability Initiative and Home International. Eleven original videos were submitted to the competition, with Jason Campa's ("A Solar Solution") and Joshua Krohn's ("FOOTPRINT") tying for top honors and taking home $1,000 each for their efforts. "The Clear Picture," produced by Adam Alegria, Sonia Hidalgo and Christian Vazquez, and "Conserving Our Future," produced by Elizabeth Hood and Ryan Willis, took second and third place, respectively. Honorable mention went to Brady Pacleb’s “Gary and Larry Explain Environmentalism.” For more information on the VidFest, click here.
