Cell and tissue engineering. Quantitative analysis of subcellular and cellular events focusing on the descriptions of the rates of metabolism, gene transfer, cell cycle, cell differentiation and cell movement, with the concomitant analysis of the simultaneous physico-chemical processes. Current focus is on the tissue engineering of bone marrow, enhanced gene transfer for gene therapy, genomatics, and networks underlying cell-to-cell communications.
