Bio: He received his doctoral degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) in December, 2002. His adviser was Prof. J.J. Garcia-Luna-Aceves in the Computer Communication Research Group (CCRG). After finishing his Ph.D. pursuit, he worked at Meru Networks from 2002 to 2003. Before that, he was a research engineer at Cenus Technologies, Inc. (now Adara Networks) from 2000 to 2002. He got an internship for Sun Labs at Menlo Park, California in 2000. He received his Master's degree in the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University, Beijing, and the Bachelor's degree in the Department of Computer Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technologies of China (USTC), Heifei, China.

Research: protocol design and performance evaluation of wireless and mobile communication networks, especially on topics such as network architecture, routing, channel access, topology control, mobility support and network management.
