Bio: Ayse P. Saygin is an Assistant Professor at UCSD in the Department of Cognitive Science and the Neurosciences Graduate Program. Dr. Saygin previously was a Marie Curie fellow at the Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience and Wellcome Trust Centre for Functional Neuroimaging, University College London, and Optometry and Visual Science, City University, both in London, UK. She received a PhD in Cognitive Science from UCSD, an MSc in Computer Science from Bilkent University and a BSc in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University, both in Ankara, Turkey. Dr. Saygin?s research explores how we process meaningful, biologically relevant stimuli using a broad range of behavioral, neuroimaging and computational modeling methods as well as healthy and clinical subject populations.
